Northern pecan are well adapted for colder climates and their ability to survive shorter growing seasons and withstand colder winters. Northern pecans are typically smaller, richer and sweeter in flavor than the jumbo-sized hybrid nuts grown further south! 

Our rootstock offers value added inoculation with the our own treasured Pecan truffles (Tuber lyonii) which are highly recommended for any truffle lover!

 Using a spore slurry bareroot dip method which has demonstrated smashing success effectively colonizing our seedling beds in their 7th year as well our potted up trees have visible truffles, all veeery exciting to see fruits and schrooms of our labors! 

Sustainable Sorcerers efforts to protect these native vestibules of our eastern forests has shown smashing results in reducing pathogenic rusts and blights otherwise decimating native populations!
