I have been wanting to try this fruit for some time. I was skeptical ordering online based on what I have read about paw paw ripening very quickly and not shipping well. The fruit arrived quickly and well packaged, and tasted amazing! I planted the seeds around my yard.
The pawpaws I received were on the medium-smaller side, but without a doubt amoung the most delicious I have tasted. They are sweet and fragrant, a happy level of that distinctive pawpaw flavor we all yearn for, but zero of the weird or spoooky hints sometimes present in wild pawpaws, even in the fruit I allowed to go uber-ripe. No tart flavor. Custard, vanilla, banana, pawpaw, a hint of resin with maybe a tiny whisper of that melon flavor sometimes present in pawpaws. The fragrance leans towards banana and jasmine with a cacao bass note.
